VPX Sports is currently looking for intelligent, energetic, self-motivated GP administrator/ Developer with a strong SQL background for full-time opportunities at our corporate office. Candidates must be team players, possessing a firm understanding of object oriented SQL programming principles. They must also have experience in the development, deployment and support of multi-platform applications. Candidates need a minimum of at least two years working experience utilizing solid GP & SQL development practices; demonstrating strong knowledge of HTML, XML, VB.NET, ASP.NET and Web Services. Candidates must also be adept in SQL Server processes and technologies such as data modeling, warehousing, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers and SSIS/SSRS Services. Knowledge of IIS 7 & AJAX are a plus, but not required. The candidates should also be creative, ambitious, detailed oriented, organized and success driven. In short, the SQL/Web Application Developer will be responsible for developing applications and integrations using the Microsoft Visual Studio & Microsoft SQL Server platform that supports new or existing, internal or external company web sites and applications. He or she will perform all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including business analysis, design, implementation, problem-solving, maintenance and support.
Summary: The GP administrator/developer will have exceptional technical skills with a focus on Microsoft Technologies. The candidate must be flexible and heavily involved with supporting our clients as well as our service, sales and marketing teams. He or she will perform all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, including business analysis, design, implementation, problem-solving, maintenance and support. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organizational abilities. Candidates will need the ability to work independently and with teams. Lastly, candidates must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.
